An online book fair

Let's give each other books on the World Book Day!

Good books are not to be taken for granted. This is why it is not only important to read them, but also to buy them. So, once a year, we can buy books and donate them to each other - as a community.

On the occasion of the World Book Day, the joint online bookstore under the name Couch Fair (sejemskavca.si), will open its doors for four days between April 22 and April 25, with over 50 Slovenian publishers offering more than 500 carefully selected books at affordable fair prices. A temporary online store will enable a simple shopping experience and ensure single shipments.

The Couch Fair is organised by the representative office in Ljubljana, the UNESCO City of Literature together with the Slovenian Book Agency, the Slovene Writers' Association, public libraries and many municipalities and local partners. And The Maribor Theater Festival is also taking part in it. 

It will be possible to buy the following publications (that are part of the Borštnik Ring Award book collection) at special fair prices:
- Saša Pavček (dedicated to the recipient of the Borštnik Ring Award in 2017), 
- Janez Škof (dedicated to the recipient of the Borštnik Ring Award in 2017),
- Marinka Štern (dedicated to the recipient of the Borštnik Ring Award in 2017).

During the fair it is encouraged to pick up books in person. The schedule for personal pick-ups is at Vodnik's homestead Šiška:
THU-SUN (12.00–17.00)

On Sunday, books will be also delivered around Ljubljana by bicycle. A small selection of 30 books will also be available via Wolt on fair days.
